A Bride Society theme
Lace Affair
For the champagne-and-good-tablecloth kind of shower.
Ivory linen, vintage crochet lace and antique-gold details create a soft, romantic look made for long lunches, champagne towers and beautifully set tables. The lace is real, scanned thread by thread: a bow-and-scroll border crowns the join screen, a lace heart sits under the wordmark, and a scalloped flower border runs under every question.

Beyond the screen
Ideas to matchColours
- Ivory, ecru and champagne, with one warm gold. No white: white makes the lace look grey.
- Add blush only in the flowers, never in the linens.
Decor
- A real lace tablecloth, or lace runners over ivory linen, and vintage doilies under every glass.
- Candlesticks in mismatched brass, and garden roses in cream and pale peach in low bowls.
- Hang a lace curtain behind the big screen so the border on the join page has something to answer to.
The table
- Gold-rimmed plates, ivory napkins tied with a thin satin ribbon, and a handwritten place card in brown ink.
- A naked cake with cream roses, or a tower of macarons in champagne tones.
- Tea sandwiches, a cheese board, and something with honey.
Drinks
- Champagne, and a French 75 for the signature cocktail. A sparkling elderflower for the drivers.
- Gold-flake sugar on the rims of the glasses is the one bit of sparkle allowed.
Dress code
- Lace for the bride, obviously. Neutrals for the guests, from cream to camel, with nothing patterned.
- Ask for gold jewellery rather than silver so the photos match the screen.
Favours
- A lace-wrapped bar of soap, a small bottle of champagne with a handwritten tag, or a lace bookmark.
Playlist
- Jazz standards at lunch, Norah Jones and Ella Fitzgerald, then something with a little more swing once the games start.

Questions
AnsweredWhat does the Lace Affair theme change?
Every screen: the join page, the host lobby, the questions, the reveal and the scoreboard get the lace borders, the ivory ground and the gold accent. The games themselves stay the same.
Is it too formal for a bachelorette?
It suits a shower or a champagne brunch best. For a night out, look at Last Rodeo or Bride & Unwind.
Can I use it with my own questions?
Yes. The $20 plan includes the question editor as well as every theme.
